ElmerJFudd
Only if you are updating your computer, operating system and/or interface. If you're not and you're happy with its layout, workflow and feature set leave it be. Yamaha CP88, Casio PX-
Piktor
FYI - After moving to Windows 10, Cubase 7.5 would not run on that operating system. I bought 8.5 at the sale price that was offered just before Cubase 9 was released. Some people really like the layout and convenience of the new mixer. Jim Alfredson
Is there any reason to update? The scalable mixer and mixer undo functions are worth it. Keep it greazy! B3tles - Soul Jazz THEO - Prog Rock

zephonic
I updated from 6.5 to 9 and the only new thing I like is the sampler track. Everything else is a step backwards IMO. local: Korg Nautilus 73 | Yamaha MODX8 away: GigPerformer home: Kawai RX-2 | Korg D1 | Roland Fantom X7
Kayvon
If you need a decent, simple & well integrated sampler then yes. The upgrade from 7 -> 9, though expensive, made sense for me purely based on needing a simple melodic sampler. The new lower section is a nice addition too even though I use two monitors (MBP & 24" 16:9) one above another.
