  1. Out of curiosity, Is B3X better sounding than key b legend? Thinking about getting the keyblegend module to complement my montage, but perhaps B3X is equally good or even better?
  2. I bought the standalone version and got milpitas for free, check if you can download the wavestation app anyway?
  3. It appears to be worldwide, korg has the same webpage in sweden As in us.. I guess the app and inapp purchases should go via app store, right?
  4. I guess we wan't to hear the damper noise ourselves, but, it is a noise you don't wan't to convey to an audience.
  5. Seems like korg has some great black friday deals, although I donät find them in appastore nor imn the apps. https://www.korg.com/se/news/2019/112202/
  6. Been there, done that. Not fun.... Noop, not fun! Forgot to say, I also use the Scarbee rhodes in module - its amazingly good, although I do prefer the desktop version with more layers etc! F
  7. I've tried ravenscroft and korg module with ivory at two rehearsals now both with iphone 11 and a simple ipad 2018 with korgs plugkey. Korg module and ivory suited the context best for me, which was musical and pop music for a big christmas show. I'm really happy with korg module, I use some pads and soul organ for a couple of tunes. For the rehearsals I used a yamaha CP120 as master keyboard and run everything mono through a monitor. For the show I get a nord stage 2, question is wether I quickly program some sounds at the venue or use my ipad. I for sure bring my ipad and iphone as backup. Airplane mode and do not disturb is highly recommended, getting a call mid rehearsal is fun the first time.....
  8. Difficult to say, an upgraded yamaha montage, a nord stage with kawai keys, nord modular g3 + nord keytar 1. Korg will relase a kronoskiller,
  9. Have a look at Phil Collins face when he makes a mistake at live aid, always a good laugh. Next gig......
  10. I discovered that the USB-C hub would make my key largo work with my two iPads, without not. Guess the audio interface needs to be powered and the lightning port lacks the juice the usb C ports on the current iPad pro's have. For some reason the midi works exactly as slaygetter describes...weird when you don't know where gear takes their power from. Anyhow usb-c iPads - use key largo immediately lightning iPads - use key largo with a usb hub /F Anything that can streamline my setup but retain quality and flexibility is a win! There is only one port on my iPad - the USB-C. No headphone jack. I'm using one of those adapters - USB-C (plug into the iPad) to USB-B (plug into the KL). Not at all.. interrogate away! It's working for me
  11. Seems like you sorted the cables etc, yeah the latency is interesting to work against. I get used to the latency if I only use the ipad, but I cannot combine with internal keyboard sounds with a different latency.... I've got the korg plugkey and a babyface, the latency issues are similar. Then again I have the same issue with mainstage, haven't tried yet to run everything from mainstage. /F
  12. Interesting, I just ordered the plugkey so I can use ravenscroft at rehearsals where old digitals are provided. As posted in the other thread I realized today that key largo would work plug and play for both sound and midi with an iPad if I use a powered usb hub in between the iPad and the largo. Pretty neat solution, I use the key largo a lot. ¨The only issue I have with the iPad as a sound engine is that not all applications use the same format for plugins, in the best of worlds all plugins should work with Camelot. It's possible but non-trivial to play Korgs apps from Camelot.
  13. Hi all, I've always been disappointed that the key largo doesn't work with ipad. That is no longer true, if you use a powered usb hub in between key largo can act as a sound card for you're ipad, thus enabling live playing not only using a mac, but also an ipad!!
  14. It has happened to me several times, but I think it has been due to that the preamp needs to work to hard. When given a stronger signal it doesnt happen,
  15. Erskine jazz essentials are great, thanks for the tip!
  16. Really good thread this, damn hes still playing absolutely fantastic. Interesting to see how he phrases and use what he teaches.....good for brushing up my bebop lines
  17. So Theo, to state some lines from Monthy pythons holy grail get on with it, make the video.
  18. With the explosion of new fantastic keyboards the last 10-15 years, it's not surprising that the market is overfull with equipment and prices coming down. Behringers promises of releasing one mission new boards doesn't really help the used market. Again, as a keyboardist I feel very fortunate to play all those new fantastic boards released. On the flip side I actually earned money on selling my Roland JDXA which I bought used, just had to wait for the right buyer. It's been the same with some of my gear that's been on my shelf unused for ages, just had to wait. I'm also holding back on CP88 even though I really wan't a keyboard with a good keybed, I have to suffer my nord stage 88.....damn that new white grand was great.
  19. Itunes us just a mess, the question is how one will handle backups of ipads snd iphones. I will not buy cloudspace from spple.
  20. The yamaha P515 is probably as good as it gets at that pricerange. Im choosing between that and the CP88, which suits my stage needs better. If that doesnt fit the bill you need to go to a real piano. F
  21. If it sounds and plays well people will buy it and play the shit out of it....its a fantastic time to play keys. New keys around the corner everyday, problem is more how to limit oneself.
  22. I learnt my K2600 from watching movies of this product endorser having long black hair instead of a white goatie.
  23. Learn you're instruments well and play different styles of music. Learn to imitate others but most important of all go develop you're own sound and music. Be inspired by keyboardists like Nik Semrad....
  24. Updated the internal sound list in Camelot for my montage. It took forever....will update for my nord lead 4 tonight. The plan is to have one hub for controlling all synts from two keyboards at home. The split functions are easy to handle and the app really mitigates montages crippled midisection.
  25. Since you are a jazzplayer you probably want better keys. Thats where the Dave smith shines. If I were you I would also buy one synth and learn how to program and play it well. If Nik Semrad can do with a prophet 8......just my 5. Currently I am focusing on my moog model D.
