Basic K Mix setup...help

I'm hoping that someone using the K Mix in a live setting can give me some basic info....i'm pretty tech illiterate. My setup will be as follows;

1. Sl88 - usb - Macbook pro running Gigperformer

2. K mix - usb Macbook with K mix set as the audio out for Gigperformer

3. Nord Electro 5d - inputs 1 and 2 of K mix

So basically I will be running both hardware sounds and soft synths through the K mix. I'm sure this sounds pretty basic but any short cuts or tips would be cool.
