Nikko17
Hey Keyboard Corner! First post so be nice I am trying to emulate the keys sound at the start of Blur's 'Girls and Boys' off of the album Parklife. It's such a great song and I really want to nail this but I've been struggling. So for I'm been playing with a bit of funky Clav + a touch of auto-pan or phase, but I'm still not quite cutting the mustard. Here is a link to the song on YouTube (thanks Mate_stubb for the advice there!!!) I have a Roland FP4, I also use an ipad and have access to loads of synths on there. Especially fond of Propellerhead's Thor. If someone could help me I would be so pleased! Thanks Nik
mate stubb
First rule - provide a link to the song so that lazy KCers can just click to hear it. You'll get a lot more advice that way. And welcome to the corner! Moe ---

mate stubb
I hear 2 parts - the clavey part and a wobby low modulated burst on the off beat. You would create the wobble by modulating a tone with a fast LFO, pretty widely. Without owning your particular synths I can't give more precise instructions.
