Rim Posted January 23, 2004 Author Share Posted January 23, 2004 My stepdad had his operation this morning. I'm not clear but he got a defribulator (sp?) and a new pacemaker. The doctors said everything went well and earlier this week, after they finished looking at test results, he survived his attack, in their words, "unscathed". They also said the symptoms he's currently experiencing like slurred speech, are only temporary. More prayers and wishes for a full and speedy recovery. I know the last few weeks have been very stressful for all so make sure you catch up on your rest and nourishment as well. As far as quality of doctors go, Long Island, NY, where my stepdad is, is probably in the tops in the US, so I'm thankful for that.
