KeyMoe
I am using a Yamaha S70 to control a Roland XV5050 along with a FC-7 expression pedal. I can't figure out how to have the expression pedal only control the volume on the S70 and not affect the volume on the XV5050. What am I missing? Can this be done? What is the best solution? Thanks in advance..... Sven Golly
You need to set the patch(es) on the XV5050 to ignore MIDI Volume (CC #7). Check your manual for this.
KeyMoe
At an individual patch level......thanks! Tonysounds
You're using MASTER mode? In the Midi menu, you shut off the Control Pedal to the zone controlling the XV5050. Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.
DanS
I'd do it via Master mode as Tony suggests. If you shut off midi volume on the XV5050, it will be off for that patch all the time.
