zxcvbnm098
Although I had never been there, as a West Coast-er I knew them by reputation. I sure hate to see what was seemingly a very cool regional player go by the wayside. Not good....
MuzikTeechur
The local shop (Portsmouth NH) closed yesterday. I had a LOT of students who had a "guarantee" on gear from them. Guess not anymore... Boston papers cited "Legal troubles" for the closure. Muzikteechur is Lonnie, in Kittery, Maine. 16251
I bought a Yamaha CP-70B with road cases there for $800. It was my home piano (precursor to AvantGrand) for many years. Sold it for $1400. Dave Bryce
dB's old stomping grounds... My first job in the MI/pro audio industry was working for Daddy's Boston store in the 80s. dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Professional Affiliations: Royer Labs • Music Player Network
Griffinator
I remember as a teenager up in Concord, NH, the only place in town to buy instruments was this crappy little hole in the wall behind a TV store. Their selection was a joke, so whenever we had money we'd ride down to the DJM in Manchester. I bought an Ibanez Iceman there on the cheap because it had a cracked neck. That was my first Frankenstein project, and it was a hell of a lot of fun for months. A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.
