MFD pickups and the unique preamp. take those two away, and what do you have? a generic fender-style bass. with a nice bridge. can't they bring back the L-1000 or do some sort of H-J-H triple pickup configuration with MFD pickups? that would be way more compelling. This one's pretty, but it would look even nicer if all the hardware was black: that one is also close to perfection. i'm not a fan of black hardware, so i wouldn't change to black if i were calling the shots. because i like people.
