NewImprov
Had a very pleasant surprise last week, a package from our own Jim Alfredson's Big O records. I'd pre-ordered this disc a while ago, long enough ago that I had pretty much forgotten about it. Fortunately, Jim remembered! I've listened to this on a daily basis for the last week, and it's excellent. Electric space-jazz, lots of cool grooves and great synth textures. Reminds me of a lot of great 70's ECM fusion, or Herbie Hancock's Sextant band, maybe even a little of the jazzier end of Canterbury prog, like later Soft Machine. I personally love this stuff, and it's really cool to hear a modern take on it. Great stuff, highly recommended! Jim Alfredson
Hey cool! Glad you're digging it. Should be another one out soon. The group is a lot of fun and our own forceman caught a rare gig recently. Keep it greazy! B3tles - Soul Jazz THEO - Prog Rock
Steve Force
I recorded a "bootleg" (with full knowledge of Glenn and Jim) --perhaps sometime Jim will post some segments for us.
