Analogaddict Posted April 22, 2011 Author Share Posted April 22, 2011 This is very much a question of taste, and the current (untweakable)Nord B3 ideal simply isn't mine. I love hearing them, but not playing them. The one I owned and liked the most was the C1, but in the end I couldn't settle for not having drawbars on such an otherwise fine clone. However, it's very apparent to me that we are closing in on B3 singularity - in a few years, we probably won't be able to tell wether we're hearing a clone or a real tonewheel thru a leslie, but we're not quite there yet IMHO. And for me, being a performing musician, the feeling matters a LOT. Buying a new B3-P isn't the most sane choice in financial terms, but the feeling of playing that hammond thru a leslie is hard to beat. And the older I get, the more I play for my own enjoyment. So, even though the audience couldn't care less, I find myself bringing Hammonds, Leslies and analog synths as often as I can... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
