Dylan
Their website isn't up, so I just had to ask. Anyone know anything?
Philip OKeefe
Hmmmm...... Interesting. I saw a similar inquiry on another forum, but this is the first I've heard about the website being down. I got a 404 error when I tried to view it too. I sure hope it's just for maintenance. I can't imagine you'd buy a company for all that $$$ and then just shut it down completely a couple months later. Nika
I can't get to the website either, but they just shipped me A LOT of stuff today, so I have to imagine they're alive and well. Thanx! Nika. For more...

Nika
They filed for chapter 11 near the end of April and were bought out 6 weeks later by Jack O'Donnell, the owner of Numark. I believe that this thread is speaking more recently than that. Nika. For more...

But the website and phones are still a mystery. www.blairsdevillestudios.com
Felix_dup1
Wonder if they're revising the website in conjunction with the AES show... or maybe they're just experiencing technical difficulties.
offramp
To qutoe Phil O'Keefe: "I can't imagine you'd buy a company for all that $$$ and then just shut it down completely a couple months later." for Phil, three words: Gibson and Opcode. I've upped my standards; now, up yours.
sysexguy
or Yamaha and Sequential
Philip OKeefe
Point taken. Still, Yamaha used Sequential's technology (Vector synthesis) and probably had strategic reasons for that aquisition, and Gibson, well, they're basically idiots... I don't see an upside for Numark's head in buying Alesis unless he planned on doing SOMETHING with the company. Of course, I COULD be wrong... :) BTW, that phone number got me a private residence... Marvster
There's now a "new server" message up from Verio. I'd guess Alesis is switching servers or hosting services and someone in IT simply forgot to do a transition plan. Marv
