Theo Verelst
Didn´t feel like resisting a statement about what I even was taught to be the role of the keyboard/synth (organ) player in a band: the harmonic and thematic centre and the person to integrate a band, and to as main man (or woman) resolve (musical) issues. This was on North Sea Jazz, and I´d think I didn´t hear many examples the last decade worthy of *much* musical attention, but this is: http://www.swampdogg.net/ video "total destruction of your mind" (I don´t know if it can be linked directly) I didn´t see this myself on the (rather big) NSJ, even though I have been there more than a few times, and have better TV recording in .wav form of the tune, but I don´t know if it is legal to put that on... The keys aren´t prominent all the time but well present. Theo
