Moonglow
Thanks for a hilarious start to my day! Just sent these to all my (non-forum) musician friends. Sadly, not much hyperbole involved. allan_evett
Oh man that's awesome!!!! I can't tell you how many times I've been through both of those scenarios. The same goes for me. I can't recall the number of times that sort of bar/club scenario has occurred... The 'variations on a theme' are funny. The 'wedding coordinator' scenario reminds me of a 'high class' gig I did in Milwaukee years ago. The 'party coordinator' whined at us, or the band leader, constantly over the course of the evening: 'Mario, your band members are at the food bars, interacting with the guests, too loud !', etc. - ad nauseam. Meanwhile our 'dinner' was indeed damp, cheap bologna sandwiches and cans of generic soft drinks - all out of a cooler in a corner of the kitchen.... Then there were the kids who tried to play the drums, my keyboards - whatever they could try to get their hands on. But the paycheck was quite good. I thought of that one as music combat pay 'Someday, we'll look back on these days and laugh; likely a maniacal laugh from our padded cells, but a laugh nonetheless' - Mr. Boffo. We need a barfing cat emoticon!
