Davo-London Posted May 31, 2010 Share Posted May 31, 2010 In the end I decided to fly between destinations in the US. So I fly to Boston and visit relatives in Swampscott (20 miles north of Boston). Then I fly on saturday to Dallas and then Sacramento in California for a weeks intensive drumming camp with 5 other drummers. Then a week later I fly to London via Dallas. If I have anything to say I will say it here! I have a good bit going on this week but I might be able to swing something. Kevin (Captain Cutthroat) lives in Lynn (right next to Swampscott) but he can be hard to get ahold of with his 15 jobs. I'm listening to my nephew playing ragtime tunes on the piano, having just skyped my family in England. Big storm and lots of rain coming out of Boston. I think a trip to guitar center is on the cards. My brother and sister in law have lived in Rome, London and New York and so they are a very cosmopolitan couple. We're just jamming and filling in the gaps since last time we saw each other. Not sure what I'm doing for the next couple of days but I'll post as soon as we have a plan. I tried out ever ride cymbal in the store - great selection. I know they get a lot of stick, but they were really decent to me. Sacramento and in this specific case Folsom was a brilliant venue for the drum camp. My paradiddles, blushdas, swiss triplets etc are coming on a treat. Actually we broadcast the jams each night to the on-line subscribers, which was great fun.
