  1. It shouldn't matter too much, you just add all the different spellings you can think of to your HTML headers of your website. They're just some code that the search engines spot and not seen by people viewing the site. Having a weird spelling would probably be better as it would be fairly unique and come up high in any searches. Probably be in 8 out of 10 on the first page! WOW!!!!! We give out business cards with the web address on them anyway. We sometimes put cards out on the bar or tables.
  2. I'm 229th Davio slightly ahead at 210th.
  3. nope its a kids set. http://shop.firstact.com/WebServices/images/19-634-Everything_DefaultCatalogImage-thumb.jpeg
  4. Lots of people walking around with cardboard boxes looking very lost today. My overtime has been stopped on account that I'm one of only four people left in the building, along with the guy who turns the lights off, the guy who locks the doors, and some expensive looking accountant type chap who is looking through the filing cabinets. A Very Bad Day. Heartfelt condolences to anyone else caught up in this mess.
  5. Some good things and some bad things have been happening. Small wasps nest in shed. Think I can deal with it using some powder. Small leak on toilet cistern has ruined bathroom carpet, carpet was going anyway and I've replaced it with vynl flooring. I've been relieved of my duties as first call bass player with Nadir Rising, they've finaaly found a permanant guy. Think I've got another project ready to go TV Blew up. Too expensive to repair so I now have a nice new shiny one. Daughters School won 1st place in the Inter Village sports day. Six schools competed. Got sunburned doing carpark duty Been off work with the bug cleared up now Wife's car steering fluid leaking. Sold Trace Elliot and got more than I wanted for it. Went to dentist for root canal and crown, after 1 hour of drilling and scraping it was decided the tooth was beyond all help and has now been removed. More work to come :( Just got my brand new spanking car with 8 miles on the clock today. :) On balance not too bad really. 9x 10x My kind of month. I hope July is not as mad.
  6. So that you spend less time on the internet and more time on your spellung.
  7. Monosodium Glutamate Michael Schenker Group No fencing demonstartion. Poor show! I was on the verge of getting a ticket to see them at Twickenham, but realised I have a gig and have never heard of the other bands playing.
  8. [quote name=DavidMPires (edited for English )] in the past, banks were able to cut deals because of the amounts borrowed. Today, due to short supply of money, banks are playing it safe and are only lending at values where they make profit. I heard that the short supply of money is due to none of them believing what the others are saying. Particularly following Sub-Prime and Northern Rock type gambles. Hopefully I'll get my hands on a massive mansion at auction after some greedy banker has gone bankrupt. Though I doubt it
  9. We're starting to get enquires for June. There has been a bit of 'adjustment' going on. The interest rates have been steadily rising and the banks have stopped doing 100% mortgages. People are generally holding on to their money, or paying off debt. Last month the Bank of England decreased their base rate, but the banks didn't follow. They're all running a bit scared as we were heavily exposed to the US sub prime. London houses some of the major US bank's European headquarters and they have all been announcing billions of pounds of write offs and reducing their head counts although the press have been strangely quiet over this. As Davo pointed out in another thread I am now paying £1.15 per litre of Deisel, that's around $10 per US gallon.
  10. The 'grown ups' were worse than he was. It all got a bit messy. Some numpty called an ambulance and the hospital wouldn't cancel it without the 'fathers permission' so I had to leave my son to tell them not to come. By the time I got to the car, to take him to the hospital, the paramedic had arrived. I got in trouble from Mrs. R. because she thought the paramedic could have glued it up there and then, and I missed my daughter winning two gold medals for dancing. Which was why we were out in the first place. Brilliant! Kids eh? He is fine, used his 'Laughing Engine' and was 'Brave'. He'll be 4 in July in case anyone reading this is puzzled.
  11. Well this week has been rough! Monday, I fixed the guitarists 1970's Fender Twin amp. Good! Tuesday, they made 1500 people redundant where I work. Bad! Wednesday, I was rung for a booking. Good! Thursday, The guy rang back to say they were using another band. Closely followed by someone ringing to see if we were free the next week, only to find the drummer isn't. We'll do it with a dep. OK! Friday, project guys had me run ragged, I mean on a Friday! Bad! Today, Son ran into a wall, split his head open, hospital were good with the glue. Catalytic converter has gone up the swanee so am up for some serious outlay. Very Bad! Sunday - I'm going to have a lie in until Monday.....
  12. I have only seen them about 6 times. At one show in the late 80's Bruce singled me and my mate out for a bit of a speech. He complained that the audience was full of kids and their parents. But it was nice to see some real die hard fans in the audience singing along to the old songs and wearing leather Jackets. I have an Adrian Smith pick, one of my freinds tied Bruce's shoelace when it came undone. Classic, they are fun guys. The worst experience I had was my brother ringing me up when I was in bed with Flu asking if I wanted backstage passes to a gig at Hammersmith Odeon that evening. That really sucked. As you can tell, I was a bit of a fan. Although, I lost interest when the 5 split and rejoined etc etc...
  13. Roughy $3, pretty tough to live on I say. Minimum wage for a 16 year old is £3.40. At the current exchange rate thats less than $6.80 and dropping. 18-21 is £4.60 22+ is £5.52
