Terrell
Why do we call it a "solo" when it's a lead over other instruments? This one really bothers me because a "solo" is alone and insinuates that you don't need to follow or lead the changes...
Larryz
For me, I prefer "Lead"...I can take it if someone refers to it as a "Solo"...but I hate the term "Ride"...I just like to say "take it" and you don't even have to say it out loud, you just glance at your buddy and he or she knows what to do...I don't know if you really have to follow or lead the changes but I know you have to stick with them whether you're playing solo or in a group... Take care, Larryz
d halfnote
Valid point, T. I don't mind that as much as the oddness of "solos" . FWIW, it reminds me of a question once posted here about "duel guitar parts", d=halfnote

Gifthorse
Yeah you are right. Solo is misleading. Now when I tell someone I wrote something new, I will say it is 'solo acoustic' guitar. http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse
