reidmc
This doesn't feature much keyboard work, but it certainly features the keyboardist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpV5InLw52U#movie_player "The Doomer allows the player to do things beyond which are possible without the accessory." Aidan
Not quite as funny, but arguably a better tune and their other big hit: [video:youtube] Studio: Yamaha P515 | Yamaha Tyros 5 | Yamaha HX1 | Moog Sub 37 Road: Yamaha YC88 | Nord Electro 5D
MonksDream
That was crazy fun! Thanks for both those clips. Instrumentation is meaningless - a song either stands on its own merit, or it requires bells and whistles to cover its lack of adequacy, much less quality. - kanker
Dave Horne
I'd seen that before. Focus is a Dutch rock group and the keyboard player, Thijs van Leer, was also in the group Ekseption. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKrFcXJRrK0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKrFcXJRrK0&feature=PlayList&p=4E695884721BB393&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=5 My wife had all those albums she just told me. BillWelcome Home Studios
This doesn't feature much keyboard work, but it certainly features the keyboardist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpV5InLw52U#movie_player And this demonstrates perfectly why we had to get past the age of cocaine. With drummers playing that quickly, guitar players could not keep up; and punk was only a short time ahead. In the second Focus clip, I have to admit I am impressed with the guitarist. Never really considered them much before,as I don't think that I've ever heard anything other than Hocus Pocus. "I believe that entertainment can aspire to be art, and can become art, but if you set out to make art you're an idiot." Steve Martin Show business: we're all here because we're not all there. Charlie Vegas
In the second Focus clip, I have to admit I am impressed with the guitarist. The guitarist for Focus was Jan Akkerman. He was voted Best Guitarist In The World by the readers of Melody Maker in 1973.
