mcgoo
Taking Infinite Response's idea & twisting it (based on the idea that many of us have differing gigs with differing needs), what if there was a "modular" controller? Not as in modular synth, but like Control Surfaces that have expandable fader bank add ons.... The base unit would be in 3 sections. An A-B 15 note bottom end (with Pitch, mod & other Left hand control functions), a C-B 2 octave mid section (with assignable fader & button controllers) and a C-C 13 note top end section. 1 octave C-B expander units (that snap easily together, electronically connected by a jumper cable) would allow the user to expand the base 52 note version into a 64, 76 or 88 key version (or more!). Could be offered in weighted & synth actions. Merit or bogus? Yoozer
Why have keyboard sections attached? Expansions are just going to be more expensive that way. How about this - any standard 61, 76 or 88 key keyboard where you can put smaller modules in the top panel, like how the Korg M3 allows combining an M3 module and a Radias. That way you never run out of blank parts if you ever need to put something in there. Even then, a Novation Remote Zero solves most of those issues - offers knobs, sliders and pads - and doesn't require you to build an entire keyboard around it. Cloud_9
Pads for samples? A must.
