davio
Since we've had several threads in the past for random stuff found on eBay and we've been using the same drop-in thread for other random posts for quite a while, I think it's about time we got one to house all the noteworthy craigslist ads we come across every day. So here are my first two contributions: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/muc/949820531.html The washtub's never been so low-profile. http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/muc/950639929.html Not as "LOL" as usual but some of the statements made me giggle. jcadmus
The meth-head prose of the ad notwithstanding, is there even any such thing as a Sunn Mustang Bass? "Tours widely in the southwestern tip of Kentucky"
The Geoff
The meth-head prose of the ad notwithstanding, is there even any such thing as a Sunn Mustang Bass? Yes, I used to possess one, and quite honestly, I wish I still did. I don't know if Sunn guitars & basses were pre-Squier, but the first lot, identifiable by the 'proper' Fender-style headstock were built in India and were alright! The second lot, identifiable by the 'pointy' headstock were built in China and were not alright. I'd love to still have it as a cheap bass to experiment on - it had a decent action and was a nice player. It was an instrument I wouldn't mind hacking around. G. Chad Thorne
From Davio's: "Please have pro gear as well, have taken lessons (i.e., no self-taught applicants)...a very general sense of the style would be along the lines of Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, Alice in Chains, Guns N' Roses (GNR) and Stone Temple Pilots (STP)..." davio
Did you find a Dingwall Super J 5 in black with white pickguard and block inlays at Bass NW? I loaned it to my friend Tater Nuts to try out an amp. It turns out he left it just sitting on a guitar stand because he was drunk and an idiot. When I called them the next day, after he told me what he had done, they just laughed at me and hung up.

Paul K
I don't get this. It looks like a drummer booked gigs before assembling a functional band. Of course the easiest way to book players is to be able to say that the gigs are already booked. But judging by the gibberish at the bottom of the page, i think it's a phishing expedition for active e-mail accounts. Things are just the way they are, and they're only going to get worse. davio
How many contradictions can you fit into one short run-on sentence? I won't bother posting the link because it's so short: i paid 180 for it and had it set up 2 time in a year!, plays like a 800-1000 bass, sounds good too, cleaning out studio and getting rid of stuff i don't use, great for starter, or lesson studio! its red wood color! Had to get it set up twice, great for starter or lessons...but it plays like a $800-$1k bass? He's selling it for $80 so I'm kinda tempted to check it out just for future Frahnkensteening... EDIT: Oh, and the title is "Jay Thurser(sic) Ernie Ball Copy Bass"...I can only assume he means one of these guys. Dig the D string tuner.

saxofunk
Dig the D string tuner. That's just wrong! The few Tursers I have played struck me as a decent deal for the money. I suupose that tuner is their attempt to avoid problems with the real EB or OLP. - Matt W.
