MILLO Posted August 23, 2008 Author Posted August 23, 2008 They took it out! Apparently a one-or-few-days deal... it was called something like Day that Never Comes... "Without music, life would be a mistake." --from 'Beyond Good and Evil', by Friedrich Nietzsche My MySpace Space
Gabriel E. Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Damn! That was boring! Seriously, I was excited when I heard Rick Ruben was producing. I thought St. Anger was the worst. This isn't much better. Sounds like early Stone Temple Pilots or something. These are the same guys who made Ride the Lightning? Maybe they need to start drinking again. soggybomb Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 everything after master of puppets is miserable
Griffinator Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 everything after master of puppets is miserable +1 (although it doesn't help that they set the bar so high for themselves AT MoP) A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.
Gabriel E. Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Wait, it's a different song than is on the Myspace page ("Cyanide"). I actually think this new one isn't too bad! "You never can vouch for your own consciousness." - Norman Mailer

I was thinking STP, but with rough tone and vocals...

Griffinator Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 When did they ever evolve? Listen to Kill 'em All, then listen to Master of Puppets. They evolved. Then their bassist died, and it all went to s**** A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.
GuitarPlayerFL Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Dude! I was thinking STP, but with rough tone and vocals... I thought it started out with the feel of Skynyrd's Simple Man or Nickelback and ended up sounding like text book Metallica. I thought it was OK. I think their best 2 albums are the first full length,Kill 'Em All, and the ever popular black album. A Jazz/Chord Melody Master-my former instructor www.robertconti.com (FKA GuitarPlayerSoCal)
Guitarzan Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 When did they ever evolve? Listen to Kill 'em All, then listen to Master of Puppets. They evolved. Then their bassist died, and it all went to s**** first they ran out of Mustaine riffs and after Cliff Burton passed away they had nothing left of the original X factor that made them. Dave is still giving the goods with Megadeth. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will

Dave is still giving the goods with Megadeth. Metallica had a few good riffs and the black album is a classic, but overall I've always felt Megadeth was a superior band and had better tunes. DracheCool Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 This song feels to me just like "Unforgiven" in a higher key. Christopher www.myspace.com/EYESUPONUS
Mortal Engines Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Damn, I hope that it's just the quicktime file because, if not then Metallica just spent a lot of money on a really crappy recording. I imagine they did this on purpose. Yeah....I was never a huge Metallica fan to begin with, nor Megadeath for that matter. I just picked up a Slayer DVD tho' ...those old dudes ROCK!
