ABECK
Very cool. His pitch-bend technique is killer. Very funky.
mate stubb
Excuse me very much. Despite the title of the video and the fairlight doing the drum machine loop, the beginning and end of the video shows Herbie funking on..... the Rhodes Chroma! Just sayin. marino
Exactly. Regardless, watching Herbie in action is always an absolute treat.
Bobadohshe
AAAAAAAHHHH. Herbie is so badass! This is great. Creative and effortless. He's a genius. Man programming synths was such a PITA back in the day. Some nice words at the end about using synthesizers in music. He's right on and much of what he says applies today. Tusker
I saw it some time ago. Thanks for reminding me of this. Herbie's from another planet. His musical reach is mind blowing. ... in case you haven't heard this gem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbMs1hP-OYk

Prague
I believe it was Geoff Downes who first used the Fairlight on stage in 1980. He and (now famed producer) Trevor Horn were deep into the electronics of the time.
Cowzar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKLikW6zmzc Some shots of Geoff and his Fairlight (HEAT OF THE MOMENT -1983)- I should say Fairlights... there was 2 he used in concert, only one could be seen. the reason was sounds were loaded into one while the other was been played. - CUNKA -
NYKeys
I saw this clip about a month ago. I will never complain about my daw again. Did you see how he had to lay that drum track down.
