O.K., we're talkin a '52 Fender "Blackguard" Tele.....I'm the second owner...the first one giged it fairly extensively, then put it in it's beat original thermometer case, and put it under the bed in 1961. That's where it was, until it came my way. It had flatwounds on it, from '61, when it came my way. It's all original, without any issues.

The amp is a 1953 Fender Tweed "Pro". It's all original, except fot the groovy furnature casters, which I actually kind of like!!

I had no intention in making this kind of guitar/amp purchase this year. But, stuff like this just doesn't become available very often.

Don, such a hot Tele! I'm soooo jealous! Puts my blonde Hgwy One Tele to shame. I got a gift certificate from Musician's 1st Choice in Augusta and one of those Fender mini battery powered amps from my daughter's boyfriend, kind of a novelty item but still cool Fender gear. I also got an ION USB turntable to assist me in converting some of my thousands of vinyl records to digital. God bless us everyone!

A couple Joe Bonamassa CDs, a comforter and bedsheets ( and not just any, 350 thread count Egyptian cotton. Coupled with my waterbed I've had for years, I feel like I am sleeping at a Hilton every night now. :D ), and some cash from my grandma to help me pay my bills. :( Nice present but I hate the bills. I'd rather buy guitar stuff!
Shut up and play.

I got a clock with those flippy numbers like they used to have in the 70s (and still use on airport arrivals/departure boards). It's not a proper 70s clock-radio like I've always wanted, but it's close enough. :thu: The case is in orange plastic for an added late 60s touch (I love late 60s plastic furniture).

BTW: how can one not love this stuff?

I also got some amaretti biscuits, two Bounty bars, a calendar where every page is an origami project and one of those wire puzzles.

Have you ever played the PC game "no one lives forever"? You ought to buy a copy and play it....talk about sixties references? This game has it in spades. Fun to play too.

It is kind of a take off of the TV series "man from uncle" or the "woman from uncle" as in this case.

You play a female spy and it has a lot of old TV show spy scenarios.
