Interested in Reactions of the Tunes/performance but not so much the production as i know the shortcomings of it already...Mostly all done in my room, through crappy equipment in the beginning. A few tunes were recorded on a Vs880 then transfered over to Pro Tools. The rest either a a PT Mix+ or a Digi001. Pres were the 880, 001, and a DBX386. Mics were a 57, Tlm103 or a Rode NT1000. Drums were VDrums. Samples-Gigasampler, Guitars, POD, AmpFarm, Pedalboard and Deluxe Reverb...Everything is me...thanks. Peace. okay! for some reason right-clicking and saving changes the file format to MPEG format , and the file extension can't be renamed from Windows so i guess Left-click the link and wait for the browser's embedded player to download and play http://www.2dogsnet.com/second%20site.mp3 Computers!

Jaminee - killer cool quad guitars - ah, you can never have enough guitars. After listening to some of the fantastic things up on the last few pages, I am reticent to post. :o Here's a project recently completed in Sonar as Soundtrack material for a film. Imagine a ruthless, but charismatic, criminal for hire type guy when listening. My Favs are "The Job" and "Blur" http://www.bullmoondigital.com/blurpub.htm

Old Phil Collins type fills which is cool... very in the pocket and solid feel... like the lift of the change to D, then the V... everything sounds nice. Pre-Abacab Genesis meets Animals-era Floyd, maybe some Jan Hammer in there., and everything is played with conviction... As far as the mix goes, I'd want to hear the toms louder, that's the only thing that stuck with me. Very well done!

Hello, All!!! http://www.sonicmayhemstudio.com/audio/ifyou.mp3 Last night, I mixed this song, and I think I'm done; but I'm not SURE yet. Any advice on how to take it up a notch or two would be greatly appreciated. I did some "mastering" with PSP Vintagewarmer. It's not great, but I figure it'll do, 'til it can be sent to a REAL mastering engineer. Thanks for the help, -Angus

Hey Angus, Sounds pretty good to me! :) I'm not sure if it's me, but it seems a bit left-side heavy to me - might want to check your balance? (It could be my crappy PC speakers, too... :D ) Vocal seems to cut through pretty good to me I mostly notice that the snare seems really loud (which is fine, if you're into pushing the drums up front). Overall, though - nice job!

Ok, here's my first submission: A two minute instrumental outro of an eight mintue stoner rock epic aptly titled "Slow Burn." The band is called "Mister Bones." I'm looking for any and all comments, questions, and critiques on the production... It's not my song, but it is my recording. I had a blast working with these guys, and I'd love to get some feedback from my peers on the final result. You can grab it here at: http://www.spectresound.org/sound/Slow%20Burn%20clip.mp3 Enjoy! -0z-

HERE is something, but we are not sure what it is yet. My friend Brian and i did it. There are some loops and lots of sounds by us and various types of sounds that we manipulated. All recorded keys, stringed instruments, and arranging was done in acid. We mixed in sonar.

Punchy, transparent. Is it all canned? How much is live? I love the kick and snare sound. I love the way the parts criss-cross in and out of each other. Got anymore? Frank

Hey thanks Frank. Do you mean was it performed live? It was done track by track and we basically built it as we went section by section. It is real fun to collaborate this way. It's a great exercise in arranging and really fun to bounce ideas off each other. The only thing we didn't actually create was the drums and the ahhs and we got lots of mileage out of both of those. The drums are about 4 loops we peiced together and some flams. We played all the guitars, keys, basses etc and we made that kik at the end in Reason. We have another in the same vein but it's only 3/4 of the way done. I'm glad you like it. i wasn't sure how people would percieve it cause it's kinda weird. It sure is fun to make. :)
