wietse
man im happy, this must be the fleamarket find of the year and the year is just starting. a aria proII YS500 in very good condition for only 25 euro!!!! dind't spotted it at first because it was still hiding in his bag, almost going home emptyhanded i spotted a gigbag standing against the wall and thought hell, these allways are usefull so check it out. and there was still a guitar inside to my amazement!! because it was a gigbag for a bass it looked empty, a lot of fellow collectors/traders there neglected this gigbag for that reason. after checking the content out and asked the price i paid him and got the hell out of there before he could change his mind. incredible versatile guitar from a teletwang to a les paul roar this one has it all due to it's 6 position rotary switch.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars/ariays.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars/ariaysbodyflat.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/wietse/my%20guitars/ariaysbackmercy.jpg i only needed to replace the outputjack and restring it, oke the coilsplit switch is disconnected so if anybody can help me with a wiring schedual, i would be gratefull. a smooth sounding and very versatile guitar this a keeper that's for sure, this must have been one of the topmodels from aria pro II at that time.what a guitar i'm in love!! http://www.wietsesguitars.nl
MILLO
looks sweet... early 80's? pickup selector seems to be far away. IS the big knob just a volume pot? A unique guitar. The only Aria Pro II stuff I've seen is just blah. That one seems really sweet. I assume it's fairly bright, right? wietse
"It's mahogany with a light natural wood" http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar/product/Aria/YS-500/10/1 that guy clearly has the dark stained version,so he guessed the wood. the scans of the folders on http://www.matsumoku.org tell its made of ash with a maple centerpiece/neck. the only mahogany on these guitars are the small strips dividing the maple parts of the neck. mine is stained in light oak. http://www.wietsesguitars.nl

mdrs
Yea....it almost looked like Oak, but has the wide grain pattern of Ash. Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy.
