rw2003
Looks nice... a little innovation on the old LP! Features a P90 and a Burstbucker! I like the kill-switch feature where the pu selector used to be. A bit of a Buckethead influence, maybe??? I'll take one please! What does BFG stand for? Bad F@#!in' guitar??? mdrs
Zan......you may be the benchmark, prototype example of.........G.A.S.!! That is one cool axe. I've never seen, nor heard of one!! What a cool idea...neck P-90's can be so damn fat and sweet, and a bridge zebra 'bucker. Best of both worlds....I can't believe that hasn't been used more. They say it's a carved, but not sanded maple face.....I'd love to check that out. When are you getting yours? Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Guitarzan
i wish.not in the near future.it is a cool idea , i would rather have the full size toggle in the rear and none on the top.the wooden knobs are cool. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will
Bejeeber
That's cool that it has the P90 in the neck position. I'm having a hard time getting used to the "truss rod cover is missing" look though, especially with it's yellow(??!!) cavity. http://www.gibson.com/Files/USA/2006products/LPBGLDB1_hs.jpg Just a pinch between the geek and chum

Hardtail
I honestly don't know what to make of this thing. I'm sure it's reasonably priced (for a Gibson). I can't seem to find out what it costs though. I'm still hoping one of these days I'll get a LP Custom back to replace the one I foolishly sold years ago. Xplorer
WTF? Am I the only one that thinks that guitar looks like a POS? I'd kick the designer of that one right in the nads. What a horrible night to have a curse.

mdrs
I'd have to see it in person....unfinished can be cool. My main interest is in the P-90 neck and Zebra humbucker bridge....I NEED TO PLAY THAT! Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Guitarzan
unfinished equals more tone. and less fretting when you scratch it. it is a rock tool. not a wallflower. p90 plus burstbucker = yummy. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will
Scott Fraser
<> No, you're not. Presumably Gibson knows their intended market, though. What good is a kill switch? Seems like they just needed to fill a hole. Why don't they put a P90 in a normal pretty LP? Scott Fraser Scott Fraser
Guitarzan
i am guessing they are offering a toneful less dressed guitar for those who would like to rock without paying the price.the basic finish would be good for roots rockers and punkers who don't worry about looks and the fear of scratches.the sound and the fact it is built like a tank is the draw for me. and it is affordable.as for the kill switch, it would be useful for some people.the first thing i would do is move the "knob" from the kill switch to the selector.allowing free arm movement without fear of hitting the kill switch by accident.there is nothing stopping a buyer from doing a hand wiped finish after buying it.i think it is a good idea to shave the price and have the basic sonic quality intact. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will
BadLife
I also do not like the looks of it. I really don't like mixing the pickups. I'll take my LP Custom any day of the week
