If this would have went down 15-20 years ago it might have a chance. Dave dosn't have the range anymore and Ed,well. It's one of those things left alone for fond memories. Thats not to say it won't sell tickets but it's not going to be the Van Halen of Fair Warning.

The original VH reunion will happen sooner or later. There is some "easy" money to be made for all involved, plus I'm sure it will be great fun for many involved including us fans.

Other interesting writeup on the melodicrock website was that Iommi/Butler/Ward are reuniting w/ Dio for a tour. While its not Black Sabbath, they'll tour as Heaven and Hell.

Hmmm... sounds like they didn't cut off enough of his tongue.
LMAO :thu::thu:

Well, tongue cancer can spread to the brain...and it would make you rather goofy....which is what I was thinking about (I'm a physician....I can't help but think this way!!). So, I do hope he's alright.....

Who knows what's in his brain.

All I know is that of all the interviews that I've ever read on guitar players, he seems to be the most vitriolic, bitter one of them all. He really comes off as an asshole. It makes me wonder if he's the one who has problems playing well with others.

He is one of my biggest influences, no doubt but this is definitely one guy I'd rather hear twangin' and not squawkin'.

When he talks about guitar playing, he's a genius. When he talks about anything else, he's a freaking idiot.

This is "very interesting"! Anybody here see the actual interview w/ Stern??? One comment on that post/link with the transcript states that EVH comes across much better when you watch and listen to the interview as opposed to just reading it.

Wonder what happened between VH bros and Michael Anthony??? I've seen interviews with MA when he's playing with Sammy. He says he just wants to play and Van Halen is playing much these days.

take a shy guitar playing wiz who is really into music and tell him over and over he is the most awesome player.

pile on fame and fortune.

after awhile it will mess him up and when he struggles with mind altering stuff he gets more confused, then the clean ups make him see things differently.

things will start to pile up and after years of holding it in he will seem a little snotty.

i cannot imagine living his life.

he needs to move to the country and just play his guitar.

heck i will jam with him.

i don't enjoy his comments on subjects other than music.

i think he needs to get out of the Hollywood scene.

Ed move to Nova Scotia and take a load off. i think you are stressed and have some painful things to deal with.

That's an understatement. His wife left him, he's alienated most of his bandmates (even Michael Anthony), he seems to have problems with the sauce (so I hear). It sounds to me like he's beyond snotty and is in fact a bonafide son-of-a-bitch.

The guy's got some real problems. I hope he can work through them some day and maybe find some peace in playing guitar again.

It would be nice to hear some inspiring playing from him instead of all this finger-pointing bullshit he's resorted to over the last 10-15 years.
