Hac

Recommended Posts

Hi there, i was just wondering what the best amp would be for a les paul? I'm looking to get quite a warm, fat sound from it and was also wondering what pedals anyone recommends? Cheers

Good to see another Scot on the forum so welcome...

There are so many, depends where you will be playing, giging? or in the house use?

I like Fender amps but this is a personal, great clean channels, but you will get a whole lot of different names banded about, and I am sure most of them will be great amps.

Fenders maybe not as fat a sound as you would like, but the De Ville is a great piece of kit.

Best advice try as many as you can.

Love life, some twists and turns are more painful than others, but love life.....

Honestly, I think a Les Paul sounds great played through just about anything. It has more to do with the quality of the amp than it's coloration, I think.

Having said that, though, I'd have to agree with DarkLava. The best sounding amp I've played my Les Pauls through is a Plexi. The same is true for my SGs as well.
