I like Fender amps but this is a personal, great clean channels, but you will get a whole lot of different names banded about, and I am sure most of them will be great amps. Fenders maybe not as fat a sound as you would like, but the De Ville is a great piece of kit. Best advice try as many as you can. It has more to do with the quality of the amp than it's coloration, I think. Having said that, though, I'd have to agree with DarkLava.
