  1. I just got off the phone with Cambridge Audio and they kinda confirmed what I was thinking about stream quality. 1. I subscribe to all three premium services. 2. I can connect to my Cambridge CXN v2 via: Spotify = Spotify Connect | Tidal = chromecast | Qobuz = chromecast Chromecast downgrades the signal so you're never going to get full resolution from Tidal HIFI or Qobuz subline (or whatever tier give you high res). So, it seems to me that these are total wastes of money UNLESS you connect directly to a computer via USB (a good quality one). So, am I correct to say that, if you're not going to connect to a computer, you're going to get the same quality as Spotify? No better from Tidal or Qobuz? It's so hard to do an a/b comparison and those are subjective anyway and normally tainted by confirmation bias. Am I right here though? Thoughts? thanks in advance for any help
  2. I recently was selected as a top 40 under 40 business up-and-comer for Tampa Bay. I just got word today for the party I need a walk-up song. Suggestions? And please don’t suggest: 1) Rocket Man 2) Mirrors 3) Never Gonna Give You Up All of those are a no... thanks in advance for any help
  3. I am planning to move from the West Coast to the Northeast in March, and my only major concern is getting my gear there safely. We are getting a Upack trailer and my plan was to pack all of my guitars and amps as if I were shipping them, bubble wrapped and in boxes. I figured it was fine, but my girl put the seed of doubt in my mind. So I was wondering if anybody had recent success moving their gear across country and what they used to do it?
  4. Hi, so I'm going through a patch of anxiety and general poor sleeping. I've tried various things however I've yet to try CBD oil. I know its unregulated and there are thousands of products on Amazon. I'm hesitant to buy anything straightaway off it as the reviews can be suspicious (paid reviews, reviews after trying only once etc.). Has anyone tried CBD oil and would you recommend it? What brands would you recommend?
  5. Hey, Today I got super clumpy and spilled soy sauce on my keyboard. Not only I tried cleaning it, it still smells like soy sauce and the "E", "R", "S" , "4", "5", "f5" and "f6" keys all have an orange glow due to the pigment of the soy sauce. The lit-up keyboard is usually lit up with a white color but the keys listed are orange color. Does anyone know what to do?
  6. I've got the standard problem of an old worn out body. Worn out shoulders and arthritic knees. Doctor says I should have knee replacement on my right knee, when last I went in. I say BS as I still get around albeit with some pain. Been using turmeric for years for my shoulder, with success, so I do think alternative substances can work. Anyway, I'm seeking opinions on CBD oil for body pain. Is it worth trying? I know a puff of ganja can definitely relax ones body, but I want to be able to function and drive around during the day and don't want the head trip. If so, what dose and form works for you?
  7. I've been wondering when someone was going to speak out on this guy. I tend to lean more towards the belief that the guy really doesn't know much of anything and might as well be speculation. In watching a handful of his Journey-related videos, he comes off as a recent bandwagon fan -- not to waste anyone's time, but check out his video discussing JSS, Neal's "Journey Through Time", etc. Maybe I'm being overly critical, but I'm surprised that the powers that be haven't put a kibosh on this guy for his lack of credibility or fanning the gossip flames of the band.
  8. Hello all. We are moving from Wisconsin to Florida in 2 weeks. I had originally planned to cram 10 guitars into my Sebring convertible and let the movers transport my amps (2 solid-state, one BIG tube amp). Now I'm having second thoughts. I considered renting a trailer, but it's expensive because I'll need to have a permanent hitch installed. I have thought about letting the movers take the guitars that have hard cases (I'll put them in boxes) except my Martin, and putting the gig bags in the car. That would mean only 5 guitars in the car, which is manageable. For the amps, I'll have them boxed, and I'm guessing that I need to remove the tubes from the Music Man. Is there anything else that I need to do? If anyone has experience with letting movers move their gear, I'd like to hear about it. thanks in advance for any help
  9. Hello. I've been self-taught for 4 years now but I have the opportunity to have lessons with a very experienced solo fingerstyle guitarist...who has asked me if I would like to do a standardized syllabus in the classical guitar style because of all the benefits it will bring to my guitar playing and learning now aside from crisp technique that learning classical guitar will bring...what are some of the other benefits to learning this style..it can't be a coincidence that all the best solo fingerstyle guitarists have studied classical extensively
