That is a real beautiful guitar - especially the neck. For that price I'm tempted.
To tackle the decal, I can't tell from the photo if it is high-gloss or semi - you can buy a small bottle of urethane or lacquer at a local hobby and brush
on a tiny, tiny dab to a small area behind the neck somewhere were it won't be touched by your palm while playing. If it takes it will dry normally and not leave
cracks or wrinkles - then apply to the decal with very light thin strokes - 1-2 coats will do.

Sounds like the nut needs to be re-filled and filed down a little - if you have crazy glue and Baking soda available , fill the groves in question and either use a tiny
file or if not available, a wound G string.

The computer age has made it so easy for any amateur to modify and alter photos - good and bad - problem is that you can't trust what's real or fake -
that old saying "believe none of what you hear, half of what you see" doesn't fit the present time.

Tinnitus has been more and more noticeable these past few years for me. It used to be where I would notice it more at bed time, but day or night, it is a constant annoyance.
Years and years of playing, and I'm paying for it.
I saw an exercise where if you message the areas above your ears with the palm of your hands it helps abate the ringing. I do notice though that while doing this, the ringing gets worse. So, there must be something related to the tightness of the area, who knows?

Lots of categories to chose from - Rock, Fusion, Jazz, Country, Flamenco, Classical.
One of my underrated choice for Jazz, (maybe not years ago, but long forgotten), imo is Tal Farlow - he's just an amazing player:

I hope to see John Fogerty one of these days if he ever comes to my area next year...He's definitely on my bucket list. I have a DVD of his "The Long Road Home" which I highly recommend. All of his CCR hits are on it with him doing all of the original guitar leads...he can get by exceptionally well without the other 3 (or should I say 2...as the original bass player is in the mix with the rest of the players). I still love their old albums. They were a California local San Francisco Bay Area 4 piece garage band that made it big back in my high school days, and are still one of my all-time favorites!

John is a tried and true real American 'Folk Rock/Rock/Pop" hero - never get tired of lsitening to those old CCR jam tunes like Heard It thru the Grapevine and Suzy Q -
another favorite:

If you are a bit lazy with creating complicated drum/bass or just drums lines you can always go here - https://www.wikiloops.com/tracks/track-finder.php
and use a tool like Audacity to record it. There's many styles and genres to chose from.

These jams shouldn't be looked upon about who's better than who, really - it's all about making music- would be boring to have 2 Morse's , 2 Haynes, 2 Schofields.

FWIW, Haynes & Sco have some history.
Here's a clip from a few yrs back.
I'll leave the analysis to ya'll.

These subjects are so common and so talked about - what hasn't there been a weekly TV series on this/? Man, the stories I could write. From obnoxious guitarists to egotistical singers to PITA wives of members to wanna-bee guitarists that are excellent drummers - I've experienced them all - the drama , the fights, the volume....

Well, I'm not sure sure any of these well known artists are considered 'underrated'. To me , one quantifier would be of someone kinda unknown and not talked about much.
Who hasn't heard of Neil Schon , ( Santana understudy) Gary Moore ( Thin Lizzy), and Mayer?
Plus, the song / solo would have to be something that pretty much everyone has heard, but not keen on who the guitar player was ; like for example Grant Geissman
He did the solo on Chuck Mangione's "Feel So Good" - a National and International hit. If you've ever listened to that song and that solo , it just gives me chills up and down my spine every time I hear it.
It's hard to consider an artist underrated if they are always on the top of ones topics or players most talked about.

It's not a 90's song but it was in a move "Muriel's Wedding" - I Do I Do I Do by Abba

My career took me overseas for many years so I never really got the chance to do as much as what the OP accomplished. Many times I carried my axe to many countries to keep me from going insane. Especially one country - Kuwait - just about a month after the Gulf war was over. The guitar was my friend. No regrets though - my career led me meet many people from many walks of life.

The difficulty, to me anyway, with demoing pedals is the testing environment. It's a rough guestimate on whether the demo is true to what is recorded with. I don't know how many times I was disappointed with the purchase assuming the tone I was hearing , and was not the case at all.
