I have never had a problem hearing myself on stage with conventional sound systems. I just find it a bit strange that so many people report difficulty hearing themselves onstage with the SS3 but when they go into the audience they have no problems at all.
Come on Mr Dave , it's a not uncommon problem with conventional speakers! Plenty of times I have had trouble hearing my keys with one monitor speaker.

Those Infinity's are the best HiFi speakers I have ever heard in my life , they are Fantastic , like being at a live concert and all. (the one's I heard that were stunning was top of the range and tall as)

"I think such SSv4 will be larger and heavier." - No Kidding? , can't we bend the rules and make a bigger one smaller??

^^^ , a cylindrical 50mm x 40mm thick costs $160nz! , i.e special donut ones for speakers must cost a fortune!.

Yeah, I could not believe how lightweight the Accugrooves were. Too bad not everyone uses them. How much more could it cost? When people are spending $400+ for a 40 pound plus subwoofer, seems that a SS4 with a 12 inch Neo speaker would not cost $400 more and may weigh just as much as an SS3.
I am sure that Aspen considered this when he designed the SS3.
Check this out Dave , you wouldn't believe what we can get in N.Z . I believe the Neo's are 10x more powerful and about 10x the price (at least , and hard to pin down a price) > http://dangerousmagnets.co.nz/

Those neodymium's are incredibly powerful (and Lighter) but damned Expensive. I've got a set of 35o.d x 15mm thick Neo's , and you've got to be wide awake holding 2 of them in close proximity.
Last I heard was it's hard to get , and it happens most of it comes out of China's ground.

Aspen can do it, and has the best little box of tricks on the market at the moment.

Yay page 101! .
By the time Aspen brings out a larger sss with beast sized drivers to finally kill it all, might be good timing for me to buy one.
I want to open the throttles on a monster, I want more I want it all

as soon as my wife leaves for a school event, i'm calling SW
Man,if I haven't had that wait a thousand times....
lol
I actually told her I was going to get it already ... but still ... if she was leaving at 10:45 anyway, why not just wait till she's gone, eh?
LOL! , When ever I really want something , I just turn up at home with it! . Because that's what my wife always does , so I copy
I've got serious designs on turning up on one of these http://www.fz09.org/forum/attachments/8446d1407345791-new-rear-mudguard-mt09-936648_668040876613890_748860439552395523_n.jpg

Imagine an SS3 Beast with say a 12" main driver ...Stone the Crows, it would be a killer!!!
Or 2x12" or 15" etc. , the possibilities are staggering...

The faster the windmills turn, the more wind there is. Therefore windmills cause wind. And rising hemlines cause economic market booms.
You've got one thing right , some windmills do cause wind > http://winefolly.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/89d905aed0646a014d70d19f2602453e.jpeg

Might find the lower vid band is possibly more talented - I don't know about that (yet) , but Great presentation and a Beautiful voice Kills every time - Awesomeness.
Brett
Her voice isn't that great at all.
Why don't you sing it then? , put it up here and show us how it's done ....

Other examples of can't-quite-put-my-finger-on-why mediocrity are the recent bunch of endorser videos on the Nord website. I intended to post this in a separate thread with the title "Mediocre musicians play Nord".
Keyboardist playing a pad (and lead that is not discernible in the sequenced mix) but making a heavily concentrating face, while the camera is carefully positioned so that the drummer is not visible behind the singer:

And another band that doesn't know how to look (clothes, faces etc.), with the bassist hiding behind the horns:
Give me Tove Lo (the top vid) all day - simply Beautiful.
A Gorgeous singer at the front always helps big time ;-), sweeet keyboards . (only complaint is, the bass is too loud)
Almost nothing going on in the lower vid , and yes it was a pain.

I love the sound of that route 66

I've never been a fan of those "pulsing left to right" stereo effects , and definitely don't like those tremeloed pulsing L-R electric pianos for more than a few seconds.

Did you see that?, some Hound somewhere has hit the "thumbs down"! . Must be the JBL boss or someone like that .
That was great , with great clear sound coming from that small box of tricks!.

What a monster sized Amp , on a nice clean and vacuumed carpet floor
Brett

Trying out Flickr. Let me know if it works. It's a pic of the SS on an amp stand. Thanks, Ray
Ray , click on "BBCode" and adjust size to 1024x768 , and try again...

...And I'll tell you something else , I had a gut full of sound problems raising their heads too often over my 35 years of music , and am glad to be giving it a rest right now - for how long I don't know , I don't know.... (the problem with not being famous with top sound cats on mixing desks and sweet monster FOH systems )
