  1. The Air Hub is reasonably cheap, has a big nice volume knob, a headphone output with independent level control and has a internal powered USB 2.0 hub for three separate USB MIDI devices. Controlling the volume in a easy way is very important.
  2. Open GIG Performer and choose "Window" and then "Plugin Manager" Choose an VST and then right click "Open Containing Folder". You will then see the folders the VST's are saved in.
  3. Thank you so much for all the feedback guys! Today I bought a MacBook Pro 13" early 2015 with a 2.7 GHz processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD for $ 900. I'm downloading MainStage3 now, and I'm looking forward to trying it out. I was going to ask if you are using an external sound card for the MacBook Pro, but I see that many use the internal sound card of the MacBook Pro. I was going to use my Steinberg UR44, but now I see that I don't need it. Thanks so much for many good advices!
  4. Will a i7 with 8GB RAM be better than a i5 with 16 GB RAM for Mainstage and VST´s?
  5. I think 2012 is the latest ones that can be opened.
  6. I've always been a PC guy, but now considering buying a used MacBook Pro to try Mainstage on band rehearsals. The plan is to use a MacBook Pro for VI Labs Ravenscroft 275, Scarbee Mark I, Synthronics, AcousicSamples B5, HALion 6, etc. I've found some used MacBook Pro 13" from 2015 to about $ 800 - 1000. Most are i5 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD. I expect 8GB of RAM will be at the bottom end and that I should look for a machine with 16GB of RAM. I also expect a 128GB SSD disk to become too small, and that I should get a machine whit a 256GB SSD disk. How important is the processor in that context? Should I try to buy a machine with a i7 processor - that it's hard to find on the used market - or will an i5-processor do as long as I find one with 16GB of RAM?
  7. I was about to order me a Kawai CS11 after listening to all Youtube videos, but now I'm waiting for the release of the CS12. Do not hope it will be too long.
  8. Still VASE III unfortunately. The new sound engine in XK5 would be great to keep up the competition with Crumar, Keyboardpartner and Viscount

  10. I have made a new recording today with the final version 4.25 to let you hear the C/V without any tweaking. The recording from yesterday was from the beta version. The link:
  11. That proves that you can program the C/V you like with it.
  12. No, it is the standard C/V settings in the 4.25 update Delaware Dave. As I said, the C/V is highly adjustable in the HX3.
  13. LX88 - I have made a very easy (and extremely boring) test of the C/V (C3) straight from HX3 version 4.25 to Cubase 9 with no effects and with the Leslie disabeled. The C/V is highly adjustable, and this is the standard settings. There are 5 takes pr chord from the mid of the keyboard to top C of the keyboard : 1. 888000000, no C/V 2. 888000000, with C/V 3. 888000000, with C/V and 3. perc. soft, fast, 4. 888888888, no C/V 5. 888888888, with C/V
  14. Send me a MIDI-file with the playing style you like to test the HX3 with, and I can send a audio-file back. I can record one instance with no Leslie, no C/V, no percussion and then with just C/V, then with C/V and Leslie and so on.
  15. There is a beta 4.25 now: https://github.com/keyboardpartner/HX3/tree/master/BETA I like the 4.11 much better than the 4.22. Hope the final 4.25 will be even better than the 4.11!
  16. I use my SK2 to control my HX3, and the HX3 has mapping for the overdrive, C/V knobs, percussion knobs, Leslie knobs and favorite buttons on the SK2. The mapping: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/keyboardpartner/HX3/master/DOCS_PDF/HOAX3_MIDI.xls
  17. Check the triggerpoint (sounding point), ref. page 81 in the manual, and set it to "deep".
  18. I have the SK2, and my opinion is that the HX3 is better sounding. I think the raw sound and the sim in the HX3 is better than the SK2, but I like the C/V in the SK2 better.
  19. Anyone tried the 3.925? Is there a reason to update from 3.922 sonically ?
  20. Each time I start my SK2, the volume on the drawbar sound is set to 0 on the P-presets. The user-presets have correct volume on 127. I then have to set the volume in the drawbar menu to 127, and everything works great. The next time I turn the organ on, the volume is at 0 again. I have tried a factory reset. Any suggestions?
  21. It´s even better now after this update!
