What is your favorite settings in the HX3?

I've just received HX3 which should be a supplement to the sound generator in my Hammond SK2. I must say that I am VERY happy with my new purchase! Firstly the SK2 works very well as controller to the HX3. This is plug and play! For the other the HX3 sounds very good! I am kind of satisfied with the sound of the Hammond SK2, except for the upper octave, which I think is a little thin and "digital". The HX3 has in my opinion over all more body and warmth than my SK2 gives me. Earlier I used my SK2 with a NEO Ventilator II, but I now have disconnected it, since I'm hereafter only is going to use SK2 as an (too expensive) controller for my HX3. This because the HX3 in my opinion has a very good Leslie simulation. Run and buy! :-)

Thank you Craig and M_G! I only use my SK2 at home as an "real Hammond organ", and do not use the extra voices. When I need a piano, I use the Ravenscroft 275 and when I need Rhodes or Wurlitzer I use the Scarbee Mark I and A200. My only goal is to get the best clone as a substitute to a real Hammond organ, and I do regret a bit that I did not buy the Mojo. The market for clones is not big in Norway, so I think it can be hard to sell the SK2 and the Vent II. That's why I'm looking at the HX3 / GSi Gemini. I understand that all the buttons, drawbars, bass pedals and the expression pedal on my SK2 will work on HX3, so I strongly considering buying it since I only need a new "tone wheel generator."

I'm considering buying a HX3 or a GSi Gemini as an alternative tonegenerator for my Hammond SK2. However, I am worried that the keyboard on my SK2 will trigger at the deep point / low trigger point for the external midi-modules. Is that correct, or will the HX3 og Gemini also be triggered on the shallow point as the internal organ? I have seen the page 81 in the manual, but I'm still a little confused.

On the SK2 there are pre-drilled mounting holes in the bottom of the keyboard.

I would like to use VB3 as an alternative sound generator for my Hammond SK2. Is there anyone who knows how I can assign the leslie on / off / slow from the CU-1 to the MIDI out?

I use the Proel EL260 for my SK2. Proel EL260 It's perfect, and has good room for pedals. Besides, it comes with arms for mounting a top keyboard.
