  1. Very sad. We will miss him......
  2. I agree, if it"s in really good condition. I have one that I converted a few years ago. Great sounding cabinet. The conversion kit was very simple to install.
  3. I used this same 3 tier stand for a few years and love it as well. Lightweight and sturdy. It holds a Yamaha S70 XS, a Yamaha MX49 on the mid tier, and a Hammond SK1 on top.
  4. For me in a gigging situation it's mostly about sound versus convenience, within reason. The sound I am getting out of my rig is more for me than anyone else. Makes me feel good when my rig is sounding how I want. Especially since I solely use IEMs.
  5. And the AKG K240 headphones were introduced back in 1975 and still in production today. Nearly 45 years!
  6. Someone mentioned the Yamaha MODX 7, which I would second that suggestion. Strong all around meat and potatoes board. Great brass, great electric pianos, decent acoustics piano once edited, DX7 sound set if you like the FM sounds and very light weight. Organs are usable but not as flexible as the Roland VR-09, which I owned but found to be cumbersome in the patch selection. Liked the VR-09 but sold it recently. Easy to create layers and splits. It also serves an a computer interface which eliminates the need for an external computer interface device if you want to go down the VST route at some point. Nice touch screen interface with a setlist capabilities. Easy to edit. The action is not the greatest but works for most. I have been using for a while now and really happy with it at the price point. Best if you can get your hands on one to test out in a store before you buy it. This is true for whatever keyboard you are interested in.
  7. I love to cook. Amongst a number of dishes cooked inside, my two specialties are wings on the grill and one of the most tender steak you ever had on the grill. The wings are covered in a special sauce and the steak is marinated all day with a combination of seasoning and sauces. Both cooked on customized combination gass / wood grill.
  8. I own a set and they are fine. A little light. I recently purchased the larger Hammond set and don"t really use these any longer.
  9. I have both the MODX 7 and 8 since they came out and never had an issue with either one. Hmmm...
  10. Thanks just seen the previous post on the subject.
  11. I had that problem as well, but been using some CBD and it has really helped. I take a few drops every night about 30 minutes before bed and now I sleep like a baby. It took a couple of weeks to begin to work but after that it's been great. Before I would toss and turn for a couple of hours before I would fall asleep. Also need to experiment a little with the dosage as it affects everyone differently. I was taking a little too much at first. But make sure you use the CBD without any THC in it. Even small amounts of THC could cause you to fail a drug test. Melatonin is another option, but that bothers my stomach.
  12. Does anyone know if the mojo 61 will work with the Yamaha FC7 expression pedal? Or does it require a reversal of polarity for that pedal to work? Thanks!!!
  13. Stop these positive stories I cannot afford one of these damn things . THIS!
  14. I have had my Yamaha S70 lock up a couple times over the many years requiring shutting it down. When this happened, nothing on the keyboard worked. Now I do admit a couple other times I accidentally hit the panel lock which is located on the upper right hand side of the keyboard not allowing any changes to be made. But nothing like you experienced. Nothing to add from what was already stated above.
  15. Played the song for years and it always felt right to me....
  16. I just picked up a Studio 12W today from GC / MF. They just got them in stock. Still in the box have not had a chance to open it up yet. Looks like the uncaring will be Friday. It's the wood version for my project studio. More come when I get it fired up.
  17. BEAUTIFUL!!! David I may end up up hiring you to do a couple of my boards!!!
  18. I used the VK7 and VK8 for years and still owner VK8M. I agree with the post that the sound was ahead of its time and also thought it was a pretty good. Never did like the Leslie on the VK8 but the pure organ sound was defiantly useable.
  19. I have been using Radial DIs in my live rig for years! Sound great and built like tanks!
