  1. That"s fine, I was just curious how you can start samples with with the pedal. I"m incorporating some samples to my setup too but I"m thinking of just triggering them from the iPad screen. However, that leaves only one hand to play the keyboard.
  2. Do you start samples with the Firefly pedal? How does that work? I understand that you can use the pedal to jump to next song or previous song (Page up/Page Down) but how you fire a sample with the pedal?
  3. This is great! My favorite forum is back with updated look!
  4. Yes. The 5-pin old school Midi has optical isolation so no ground loops.
  5. Stupid question but there are several Avenger movies made before this one. Should I watch them before this one?
  6. It says 3.687 Euros. In Thomann Europe Nord Stage 3 88 is 3.500 Euros, so it's about 200 Euros more expensive than Stage 3-88. At the same time Stage 3-88 is $4.500 in the U.S so my guess for Nord Grand MSRP in the U.S: $4.700.
  7. Thats a great idea but KeyLargo effect send is post-fader so cant use it to mix the FOH signal.
  8. Well I think I saw kidney for sale on this very thread ;-)
  9. How much is your CP4 with a hard case? My Moxf8 is 32 lb without a case but it turns into a 52 lb monster with (plastic) Gator ATA case.
  10. Thats really cool! Somewhat similar concept to Korg SV-1 but comes with lid. And it looks so good! I wonder where the sounds come from? Is it the same engine that Mojo has? And, whats the keybed? I think its too light to have TP-40. I can imagine Mojo sitting on top of it! Price? GAS!
  11. Why do I need a crossover? And, SSv3 has only on side firing speaker doing L-R, doesnt it? Why do I need R-L if SSv3 doesnt have it?
  12. With Spacestation the front facing speaker is L+R and side speaker is L-R. So, if I: 1. Take a pair of powered speakers, stack one on top of the other facing 90 degrees away from the other. 2. Plug a mono signal ( = L+R ) to the other speaker. 3. Filip the phase of right channel 180 degrees and sum the resulting -R with L ( = L-R ) and plug that to the other speaker. I should have Center Point Stereo using powered speakers. Why do I need a processor? What am I missing?
  13. '62 A102 with Leslie 122 here. When I acquired it about 10 years ago it had both the internal speakers and the Leslie on. I figured I wanted the internal speakers silent so I disconnected the tubes from the internal speakers' power amp and voila, only the Leslie is on.
  14. It is not extended. I guess I could have gone with a smaller model but they come with smaller tires too. Something to keep in mind is that when you pack the keyboards vertically the center of gravity goes up. In my case it's not a problem but my 88-keyboard is just 55lb/25kg, including the case. Supposing that it was, say, 100lb package the cart might become wobbly. On the other hand, I've been in situations where there were so tight corners that if the truck had been extended I would have had trouble getting through the corners.
  15. I'm gigging with RocknRoller R10. I stack my keys vertically. Like this: http://s32.postimg.org/t47oby8j9/Rocknroller.jpg
  16. Here's my rig from yesterday's gig. The lower board is Yamaha Moxf8 and the upper one is Moxf6. The organ module on the left is Roland VK-8M. I run them through a little Rolls mixer sitting on top of Moxf6. http://s14.postimg.org/x1745uvs1/gig_setup_April_2016.jpg
  17. Love and Mercy. A movie about Brian Wilson and the Beach boys playing in theaters. Highly recommended!
  18. Ok, looks like the links are not working. I'll try to figure out why..
  19. Here are some pics of my updated gig rig, Yamaha MOXF8 on the bottom and MOXF6 on top. The upper board is also driving the Roland VK-8M clonewheel module. Note the aircrafts in the background. The pictures were taken from flight deck of USS Midway in San Diego where I played a gig yesterday Pretty simple setup, but that's the point. Quick setup and teardown. Here is the rig in the garage ready to go:
  20. I'd vote for Roland but don't know which model. By the way, don't you think the guitar player has too much overdrive in his sound? Makes the harmonies sound muddy.
