  1. I am going to buy this amp or a K10. Without regard to stereo effects, how does quality of sound and volume compare to a K10? Why should I buy this amp instead of a K10?
  2. Thank you, Alan. I'm back on board. Every amp has its limits. Exceed them with any amp and you'll get distortion. Would this Carvin bass amp work OK as a sub? http://www.carvinguitars.com/products/MB10
  3. Maybe the amp works well with some setups, and not so well with other setups. My setup is like Aussie's. I'll use an XK3, or XW-P1 122/AMA, and a Vent. If it is not loud, I can't use it.
  4. Jamal Hartwell, Neo Soul'd Out, featuring Arlene Hartwell "You are Holy"
  5. Good friend of mine has a Yamaha Modus digital grand, a Roland RD700 ** and swears by his new Nord Piano 2. When does the CP4 go on the market?
  6. I went back and listened to the demos on you tube and the VR-09 sounds very good. I like the separate controls for each group.
  7. Welcome, Al! Playing the cocktail hour at retirement homes is a gas. Good for you
  8. It's a good idea to pay more attention to your "play" than the brand.
  9. I find a 61 key board to be great for band gigs. I'll sometimes take an 88 too, but that is out of insecurity. A simple set up and wise choice of sounds and you're fine. Sort of like the current thread where the OP only had his tone wheel board for a gig and had to adapt. Less is more thinking.
  10. This looks like an XW-P1 for $500 more money. Except I really like Roland eps.
  11. My mistake! I thought 99 cents was too cheap. The Complete Album A regular on my iPod rotation
  12. Here's some Bach for you-- Marino's "Bach to the Future"
  13. Swim laps at the Y(outdoor pool) for 30 min. 3-4 days a week. Ride bike to and from the Y - only about 3-4 miles one way. 2 or 3 long (2-3-hours) bike rides a week. Really keeps the head clear - Plus I'm on a measured portions eating plan - lost 30 lbs this year and my body mass index is hovering at 25. Cycling and swimming are my two very favorite activities and I'm lucky to be able to do both.
  14. Dali Lama walks into a pizzeria, and says "Make me one with everything."
  15. I used to run a lot in my younger days, until my hips started going out. Last March I had to have the left hip replaced. After rehabbing it, I have found that cycling and swimming to do it for me. My previous post to the contrary notwithstanding, I used to love to run. "Living hard will take its toll"
  16. I don't run unless somebody is chasing me.
  17. I just love the way this guy plays mixing jazz and blues/rock.
