  1. My parents bought a Baldwin Acrosonic when I was about 5. The sainted Ms. Thormann with her olive jar full of 'red hots,' [rewards], and her rhythm stick [correction]. Later John Martin and I learned every record the day it came out, Elvis, Little Richard, et al. Long time ago in days of yore.
  2. The SP6 is more expensive than the PX5s. About $500.00 more.
  3. I've been a lawyer a long time, and handled a lot of divorces. You know why divorces are so expensive? Because they're worth it.
  4. Leonard Bernstein Omnibus Musical Lectures_The Genesis of Beethoven 5th symphony https://youtu.be/KI1klmXUER8
  5. Korg SV-1, 73. Delighted to find the power supply is internal; just plug it in. Love the EPs.
  6. Put a Vent on it; it will surprise you as to how good it sounds tonewise. If you come across a V5+ spring for it; the percussion is louder and the C/V is much improved over the V5. V5+'s are harder to find. I have two of them, one is a backup. I know about V5+, but they are impossible to find. If you ever want to sell one of yours, message me. The V5 on the PX160, with a Kenyon midi converter ((converts usb-A to midi in). goes through a vent and a small soundcraft mixer with the piano. Small stage presence, light weight. V% and PX 160
  7. I'm interested in the Mojo61. How does it work with MacBook Pro? I went to the Crumar site and clicked on the recent update and got this message: "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC could not open 'Mojo61.upd' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." This looks like an inability to load updates from Crumar on my MacBook Pro. I had remembered the the VB organ programs were configured to use microsoft only.Is this still the case? I do not want to buy a $1,500 product and have to buy a new tablet or notebook. Please advise.
  8. Cedar, Which board do you like better, the Hammond XK1c or the Mojo61? I'm going to buy one or the other. I have an XK3 w/ Jim's clone wheels and I like its sound. I need smaller. Which of the two 61 key lighter boards will I like and should buy? Will a Roland EV5 pedal work on a Mojo or do you need their proprietary pedal?
  9. I got to quit reading this thread. I'll end up buying one of these!
  10. That's true David. Especially Sound Productions. I played in a Wednesday night jam band over there for a few years, and they'd roll out a 500. My first ever rig was a DX7, KC60, and an X stand. I wish I had not sold the DX7.
  11. Lot of Roland KC hate here. Seem to be on lots of backline though.
  12. What I'd like is a powered speaker, as a monitor and contributing to the house sound, that the whole band can hear with, over and above the monitors, so that I do not have to chain what I use now (10" peavey passive spkrs that I like just fine) and place one directly at the band. I have a crossover set at about 120 that works great with a powered Alesis 12" I use for a sub, and send the rest to the Peaveys. I'm really interested in taking less stuff to the gig, and I don't care about improving the peaveys' sound. Will theSS do that and keep up with the loud volume? Sounds like it would, but I hate to spend $800.00 on theory.
