  1. Well, when I post a pic of that girl working at the nearby boutique, can you simultaneously work and look at her?
  2. You're not supposed to be simultaneously working and surfing.
  3. Those who missed the opportunity to buy the latest Keyboard Corner Comp 12 dedicated to the late Laurie Z can download my piece recorded for that compilation, the Élégie from Rachmaninoff (opus 3), by clicking here.
  4. What's the difference between a violin and a viola? The viola burns longer.
  5. I remember an old video of the original "Ne me quittes pas" from Jacques Brel. He's actually crying for the entire song.
  6. I think I read this one in a fortune cookie at a Chinese restaurant.
  7. Foolish man gives wife grand piano, real man gives wife upright organ.

  10. You're very welcome. Feel free to contact me for anything involving the Kurzweil PC2X, the PC2 manager software or even the old Kurz 1000 series. If I can be of any help, it will be my pleasure.
  11. That's definitely the saddest thing I've ever read.
  12. Welcome to the forums, Fernando. Reminds me of that famous ABBA song...
  13. Geeez. Looks like many US doctors got their diplomas at Dr. Nick Riviera's school. "Hi everybody!" http://www.rob-clarkson.com/duff-brewery/nickriviera/01.gif
  14. And for all the bored guitarists who thought they can do everything from licking their elbows to playing guitar with their tongue like Jimi, here's a new challenge : http://www.historicphotoarchive.com/images5/00277.jpg
  15. Anyone succeeded at licking his/her elbow yet? http://www.lifeteen.org/static/newsbox/elbowlick.jpg
  16. Here's a little trick (see pic below)... Although that's also the cause of the dozens of little mistakes, but I thought it gave the piece an entertaining feel. http://www.logis-montifaud.com/images/1_bottle3.jpg
  17. Thanks Greg. Interesting that you mention stride, as I didn't know this term, so I'll look into Wikipedia to search what's the difference between it and ragtime. By the way, I really like your avatar.
  18. Hello, Just to say I added a new MP3 on my site. So besides the usual serious classical stuff, there's now a funny Maple Leaf Rag version.
  19. Thank you Jessica for your nice comments. Although I think certain passages in the Beethoven piece need a pretty brutal approach. It's always a pleasure for me to see that other people today can still enjoy classical stuff.
  20. Welcome Hawkan, Seems like we shared similar Hammond gear in those old days. Don't tell anyone here, but one of my favorite bands in the 70s/80s was ABBA. I had a crush on Agnetha because she was so cute and sang so great. Hope you enjoy the site with us.
  21. My pleasure, Trill. Hey, next time don't miss to visit our little place, it's got unique architecture, the Château Frontenac, Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré basilica... And of course, Québecoises.
  22. Hey, took me 140 posts to finally find this thread... Doh! So hello all, I'm Martin from Québec, up north in Canada, where you get 100 F during the two-months summer and -40 F during the six-months winter. I'm a 99% autodidact keyboardist and can play by ear as well as read conventional scores or Zeronyne alternative notation . I started in classical-progressive-rock tribute bands (ELP, King Crimson, Genesis, etc.) until the other players didn't want to help me anymore carry the C3, Mellotron and other refrigerators. Then in order to get rid of different limitations linked to bands and continue to advance as a musician, I turned to composition and classical piano. So that's currently what's on my Web page, until something new happens. I also do rare solo appearances when a producer is crazy enough to hire me, the last one being some years ago, it was a tribute to Vangelis at night on a wide outside place (Plaines d'Abranham). Who knows, maybe I'll find people here to work with and we'll create something interesting together.
  23. Thanks bob. You have a point, as I hesitated myself for a while between this amount of reverb and a lesser level before I compressed the MP3. It would be easy to change it again, but instead next time if ever I'll post another piece.
