  1. You don't really need another device. Your RD-2000 can be set up to send MIDI patch changes to the MX88. See page 17 of the Parameter Guide, "Using the RD-2000 as a Master Keyboard." There are instructions there for setting a zone as External and then sending bank and patch changes.
  2. Yep, although that 57 lb feels a lot heavier at the end of the night!
  3. My main band uses IEMs, which I love. However, I still have a (now discontinued) Traynor K4 keyboard amp that I use for fill-in gigs, etc. To me, it's a good-sounding, convenient all-in-one package: three stereo input channels, one with a tube preamp and one that can actually accept two inputs; a fourth monitor input; stereo XLR outs with ground lift; and a "sorta stereo" cabinet with a mono 12" woofer and left-right mid and high drivers. And the cabinet can be placed in forward-facing or kickback orientation. I'm on my second K4: I bought my first one back in 2006 and used it up until a few years ago. A friend of mine joined a new band and needed an amp so I sold him the K4 for peanuts. Within a few months, I wished I had it back, so I found another used one online.
  4. The Seinfeld of threads.
  5. I couldn't resist this eBay auction item from The Bob Moog Foundation:
  6. Driskell is probably just a camp arm. I’m really enjoying watching all the “experts” predicting who they’ll draft. This GM holds his cards close to his chest.
  7. Paraphrasing a dig someone told our bass player (in jest) a few years ago, "You can't play worth a damn, but at least your tone sucks."
  8. Me, too, although it's a little strange to have the regular season start for a couple teams while others are still playing spring training games. But no one asked me. 😄
  9. Crazy start to the 2024 season! The Padres were up 2-1 in the 8th with the Dodgers at bat when a potential double play ball tore through the webbing in the Padres' 1st baseman's glove. The Dodgers went on to score 4 in that inning. A strange error helps the Dodgers against the Padres
  10. For every band situation, I use a spreadsheet to organize my mental notes, chord changes, patch numbers, tricky spots, etc. for each each song. Then I convert the spreadsheet to a PDF and load it into an iPad Mini that rests on the panel of my lower keyboard. By default, I sort the spreadsheet alphabetically, which is easy to scroll through during a show. If the band provides a set list, I'll also make a second PDF with the songs sorted accordingly -- although I often end up jumping out of that PDF to the alphabetical sort when the band veers from its regularly scheduled program.
  11. I wonder if the Redskimmanders might make a play for him. There was pundit talk of them needing a bigger WR opposite McLaurin. Although his last couple of years don't inspire much confidence. Edit: After reading what his contract numbers were and considering he's coming off an ACL, I don't know if it would be a good move for the Redskimmanders.
  12. And the Broncos are on the hook for the balance of the $39 million they guaranteed him for 2024.
  13. If I announced I was dating, I suspect the biggest outcry would be from my wife.
