miroslav
Well...I hope so. At any rate...I'll have my tube amps for as long as I keep playing/recording. And...I'm already building a small stockpile of tubes. So...I ain't too worried! miroslav - miroslavmusic.com "Just because it happened to you, it doesn't mean it's important." Shoes
They're starting to spin out vinyl again. People never stopped riding horses and you can still buy corn brooms absoloutely every where. You can still buy a piano and we use more paper now than ever before in this paperless society! If it appears as though there will be a shortage of tubes available... well I'll be the first in line to start producing them! Those and phono cartridges! How long until we stop using glass beer bottles? I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.
synthetic
Looks like I spoke too soon. All the modeling amps need is this stuff: Tube-o-lator
Museeip
Tube amps will be around, but IMO they will be rare, hard to find tubes for and for the rich. Kind of like cars, I accept and hope in 50 years we're running on hydrogen, but If I'm rich I better be able to get gas for my weekend drives in the Viper I would buy!...that is if I can still drive in 50 years...LOL.
