Blue Strat
I liked The Dirty Boogie CD. His version of Sleepwalk kicks ass! BlueStrat a.k.a. Blue Strat
I've also heard a lot of the songs on '68 Comeback Special. It looks like a keeper too. BlueStrat a.k.a. Billster
Jump, Jive and Wail compiles most of Guitar Slinger and Dirty Boogie. That stuff is just wonderful to vibe on. Buy my CD on CD Baby! Mike Gug
I have Dirty Boogie and ('68 Comeback Special) Ignition. Both are good. DB is a little better musically. Great guitar in both. Mikegug www.facebook.com/theresistancemusic
Guitar55
I had a chance to see the BSO at a private party in the Superdome a few years ago. I was resting my arms on the front of the stage for the whole show. Not only was Setzer's playing amazing, as expected, but his VOICE was spectacular as well. southpawstrat
Another one here for Dirty Boogie. I second that his version of "Sleepwalk" is worth the price alone! Corner Pocket
I saw the BSO at Massey Hall in Toronto. I swear he was louder than The Who. It was at best uncomfortably loud, and at worst, painfully loud. It was all stage volume. Great player, love the records, but DAMN!!!! Turn it down a notch!!!! Hardtail
I liked Brian Setzer. I must have been the only guy on my block in the 80s who dug the Stray Cats. Rockabilly is a style that many guitarists (at least during that time) considered lame and simple. I didn't think that way at all. I think Setzer did it quite well too. Blue Strat
My mom & dad always listened to a lot of oldies and I guess I picked up on Chuck Berry, Bill Haley & The Comets, and Buddy Holly early on in my guitar playing life. I still love that kind of stuff. BlueStrat a.k.a. Billster
BTW, don't overlook Setzer's first solo album "the Knife Feels Like Justice" Not rockabilly, not nouveau swing, just song oriented rock.
