I'm sure everyone is aware of the battle between Page and Beck when these two monster bands, and albums were being put together. O.K., as far as Beck and Page go, they were, musically speakin', two heads of the same monster. They emerged as that monster was being born, and are like twins who argue over who's older. Page's more rock, and Beck's more roll. Is that less vague and ambiguous enough for ya? yamsa2000 Posted December 10, 2003 Share Posted December 10, 2003 Beck has gone on record claiming that Page ripped off a lot of his ideas for Led Zep 1 - especially You Shook Me.Becks album was recorded first but I think was released after Led Zep 1.And Page heard the master tape of truth before making Led Zep1.Who says either of them was the'first'heavy rock album anyway??????Both great blues albums if you ask me!
