My friend has a '52 in fair and playable condition that he says he'll sell when Hell freezes over! Really, he does! I love that guitar, it has a sparkly, shimmery, swirly tone, just beautiful!

Ask yourself- What Would Ren and Stimpy Do?

My uncle's got a '55 LP with the stop-bar tailpiece (no tune-o-matic, just the stop-bar) and early P-90's (the neck pickup has the mounting screws through the corners!), and he did have a gold-top with 'buckers that he re-built, but I'm not sure if he sold it or not. He's big into Strats, but I don't think he'll ever sell the '55 LP unless he's starving...

Good point (most people don't realize that Gibson was so hot to catch up with Fender that the made quite a few lame guitars in their hurry)!

BTW, is that "a basement in Canada" or "abasement..."? ;)
