Does your "significant other" have a favorite?

My wife likes my McCarty. Not because of the sound, but because of the looks. She doesn't "dislike" the sound... I just think she can't "really" tell the difference.

How about you... does your "better half" have a favorite?

She likes any guitar that I leave in the store! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif

No, seriously... She likes my Tele because she helped me build it. She likes my 12-string because of the sound.

I'm not married yet but my GF likes them on the pictures and in the stores: not in my hands and definitely not if I bought them. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif

I just bought new guitar (Fender classic Strat Floyd Rose with maple fretboard). She made that face (well known to us, right) and asked me why I bought that guitar. I tried to explain to her about sound, humbuckers and single coils, Floyd Rose and American Standard bridge, maple and rosewood

fretboard and else...

Yeah, right. She just rolled her eyes and went into other room. Anything known from this story?

If it sounds god, just play the darn thing

LOL Tedster... 'course the way some people feel about their guitars, you'd think they WERE kinky sex toys! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I don't have a significant other, so can't comment otherwise. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/frown.gif

My wife used to like my PRS Custom because it was "pretty" but a year ago I put together a $250 strat-mutt out of an old Squier Strat and a Warmouth neck. It's butt ugly but out of my 7 guitars she says "it definitely sounds the best".

Just ask her about shoes... then YOUR eyes will roll back in your head and YOU will go in the other room...

And don't think shoes don't cost more in the long run!!!
