I didn't see anything for that. So Many Drummers. So Little Time...
Alndln Posted February 12, 2003 Author Posted February 12, 2003 There's no specific tool on these sites for that, but they are for the most part .wav files that can be concerted to .aiff or sound desinger or whatever Altiverb uses.Doesn't Altiverb have a tool for making Ir's?It would have to since Altiverb users do make their own and upload them to Audio Ease's site.Just download the .wav's,and if it's in .rar format, just get the Mac shareware version of Winrar to decompress them, but the Winrar for Mac does require OSX,but here's a link for that www.rarlab.com/rar/rarosx-3.1.1.tar.gz (command line only). Nawor Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 I'd like to know how to convert Altiverb Impulse files back into wave files or into 'sfi' files for use in Acoustic Mirror. Anyone?? :) "WARNING!" - this artificial fruit juice may contain traces of REAL FRUIT!!

Alndln Posted February 13, 2003 Author Posted February 13, 2003 Aside from the IR links posted here, don't gloss over the first link I posted,a "Free" and the "First" realtime convolution plugin for PC.For those of bitching about Acoustic Mirror's non-real-time operation,or not having Altiverb for the PC....,well.....Here it is,and it's "Free"!!! Philip OKeefe Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 It's VST only. I use DX (Sonar) or RTAS (Pro Tools). I suppose I could force myself to open Logic again... :p ;) :) I do wish there was more RTAS stuff available on the PC. :(
Alndln Posted February 13, 2003 Author Posted February 13, 2003
Originally posted by Philip O'Keefe: I use DX (Sonar)
Phil,I'm using it in Sonar w/the FXpansion( http://www.fxpansion.com/vstadapter.html ) adapter. The latest revision of the adapter(4.2b)works great and suffers no delay.Of course the verb suffers from some delay due to the nature of it.The adapter is only 60 bucks and more than worth it for this plug and the Fish Fillet's( http://www.digitalfishphones.com/main.php?item=2&subItem=5 ) alone, let alone all the other stuff. In fact it might even work with Spin Audio's Free VST-DX adapter(no VSTi support though) www.spinaudio.com/cgi-bin/redirect.pl?freestuff/wrlite.exe "A Robot Playing Trumpet Blows"

Alndln Posted February 13, 2003 Author Posted February 13, 2003 One drawback to the plugin,I did get a noticeble delay when I routed it through the auxilary in Sonar w/adapter and Nuendo(VST)but it's fine in insert mode. "A Robot Playing Trumpet Blows"
