michael saulnier
Well what can I say about the irrepressible Tedster... First, I must say "thanks" as he was the first one to say "howdy" to me when I first hit this forum, and he's usually the first one to respond to any newbie. He's always been an "inclusive" voice on this board, and tries to make everyone feel "at home". That's not common on this or any other board, and I'm sure many of us have felt better that our first feeble posts were noticed by one of the "veterans". He's also the "blessed peacemaker". Whenever a "skirmish" breaks out, Ted's usually the first one to try to settle things down and point out the humor and humanity behind the whole thing. There's a little spot in heaven waiting for him I think... Humor... that's really Ted's bag. Do a search on his posts and I bet 80% of them are some kind of pointed joke that usually hits the mark. He's got all kinds of humor too... country and western... I mean... stories, jokes, one-liners, puns... he's the Joke king of this site! He's also started a number of the most interesting thread topics... I find that if he's posted a new one, I jump to it right away and normally find myself joining in on the fun... Basically you can see that... when I grow up... I want to be like Ted... And so what if he's not the fastest shredder on this board. We still love 'ya anyway! So put me down for a copy of your cd when it comes out... And let me say again... Tedster ROCKS! guitplayer I'm still "guitplayer"! michael saulnier
To the tune of "Woodstock" Well I came upon a Child of God He was walkin' along the road And I asked him tell me where are you goin' This he told me Said I'm goin' down to Tedster's house Gonna join in a rock n' roll jam Got to get back to the pig roast Set my soul free We are guitarists, we are golden We are caught in the Tedster's bar band And we've got to get ourselves back to the pig - roast By the time we got to Tedsters We were half a million strong And everywhere was the sound And the celebration... >>> Again, deepest humble apologies to Joni for the mutilation <<< guitplayer I'm still "guitplayer"! Tedster
We've got an event like that happening actually, for real...we call it "Lakestock"...happens every year first weekend in August down at Lakeview Heights down in the Lake of the Ozarks (get out your Missouri atlas...look for Sedalia, then go south). They even have T-shirts...a guitar neck with a pig sitting on it (rather than the dove). Boats. Roast Pig. The beginnings have been humble...a great party, but not really as huge as it could be. The terrain kinda indicates why...(steep down to the lake). It could be bigger. Generally the people that own houses/cabins down there put the musicians up...feed 'em...take 'em out on boats, and then food and jamming... There was talk about it being way bigger this year. Let me look into it. Anyone who wants to is certainly more than welcome to come...! "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"

fantasticsound
Originally posted by Tedster: ...look for Sedalia, then go south)... ...Anyone who wants to is certainly more than welcome to come...! Funny, Sedalia is the only place in Missouri I've spent any real time! We played the state fair. (I was mixing monitors for Lila McCann in late 1999) That year they had an alligator wrestler who lost most of his fingers. He was staying in the same hotel with us. Even with clean, white bandages it looked painful. Wild time though. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif And let me add to the chorus, Ted. To quote the principal's secretary in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, "All the kids say he's a Cool Dude!" Betcha didn't know she was talkin' 'bout you! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif Neil It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Tedster
Yeah, it was a bitch to have 'em sew all those fingers back on...still giving me a few problems. ALLIGATOR WRESTLING?!?!?!?! That'll teach me to drink too much and then offer to help some lady with her luggage...I thought her suitcase was kinda heavy... http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gifhttp://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gifhttp://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gifhttp://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gifhttp://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
