LiveMusic
I have a new Fender Standard Strat MIM and the 3rd string (G) is quite a bit louder than the others. Is this a defect or what? > > > [ Live! ] < < <
Tedster
Hmm, any particular pickup position that this occurs in? Stock Strat pickups don't have adjustable pole pieces to my knowledge...you have to adjust the whole pickup, which isn't going to help you with one string. With humbuckers you can just screw in the offending pole screw until it matches. "Cisco Kid, was a friend of mine"
LiveMusic
Guy at the store told me he figures that magnet is sticking up too high. I just looked at; looks fine to me. For all three pickups, they're kinda in an arch shape to because that's the way the strings are, I think. He acted like the only thing could be done would be to physically push the magnet down and hope it goes down... as is there is no real adjustment to be made. The back pickup is louder, for sure; I'll have to check the others. > > > [ Live! ] < < <
