cedarflute
The PK-7 was designed for the Roland VK-77 organ and also has midi ports. I'm wondering if it could be used as a controller for another module (Roland JV1010) or even a Yamaha MO8 keyboard for bass sounds. Terry
zeronyne
I believe it uses an 8 pin cable (I may be wrong), and it has no onboard control panel, so you couldn't even set the octave, etc. It's also over $1000, right? You may want to check out the Hammond pedals if you want a similar form factor with more compatibility. "For instance" is not proof.
cedarflute
Thanks zeronyne....very helpful. In addition to the VK-77 connector, there are MIDI in and out, but the octave problem is definitely an issue. What about the Roland PK-5? -- that does have an onboard control panel and looks like it should work. I liked the additional pedals of the PK-7 and will look at the Hammond options, too. RABid
StudioLogic makes the MP117 which is a 17 note pedalboard. Robert This post edited for speling. My Sweetwater Gear Exchange Page
Ironstorm
I have a set of Roland pk5 pedals they use a 5 pin midi and I have them hooked up to a moog little fatty. You can control everything from the pedals and they are built like a tank. I have seen photos of the studiologic pedals and they look cheap and plastic but dont know for sure Ironstorm Alembic SC Standard slim neck taper Warrior Signature fretless G&L L2000 Spalt top w/Maple fretboard Ibanez SR500 Genz-Benz Neo-Pak 3.5 Two Genz-Benz Neox 1x12T cabs Genz-Benz XB2 4x10 cab
