DJDM
Just in case this hasn't been covered... I saw the thread "Super Jupiter vs. PolyEvolver Rack" and it reminded me about the Mackie " C4 Commander Software " for their C4 controller. If you own any vintage keys or modules and weren't aware of the abilities of this system you should look into it. I too have an MKS-80 in storage but when I recently picked up a Mackie C4 I wasn't aware of the full scope of the Commander Software download. But because I have a friend and old band partner who has worked with the C4 extensively he was quick to point out that with it you can use the C4 as a dedicated programmer for tons of vintage keys and other equipment. Including my trusty old MKS-80. So now I can look back at all of the sessions that I had back in the day programming my MKS-80, Jupiter 106, DX7 (!), Six Trak, D-50 etc. and scoff! How awful were those read outs?! But if you were on a budget as I was that was what you could afford. I shall have my revenge! Now I just need to get them out of mothball... There is a very extensive list of keyboards that the Commander software allows you to program: * Access Virus * Akai DR16 DR8 S2000 S2800 S3000 S3000XL SG-01-V * Alesis Quadraverb * AAS Lounge Lizard * Audio Simulation Dream Station * Big Tik Ticky Clav * Bitheadz Retro AS-1 * C-Lab Notator/Creator * Clavia Nord Lead * Computer Music CM-101 DS-404 SR-202 * Creative Labs AWE-32 * Digitech DSP-128 Studio Quad V2 Vocaliser * Ds Tech Original Syn * Elektrix Filter Factory Warp Factory * Emagic Logic Audio * E-mu Carnaval E4000 E4000X E4000XT E6400 EmazII Morpheus Orbit V2 Planet Phatt Proteus MPS Proteus-1 * Encore Electronics Moog Source Jupiter-8 * Ensoniq ASR-X * Gmedia Mtron * Guilemot MaXISOUND * Hammond XM-1 * IK Multimedia Sampletank * JoMox Airbase Xbase09 * Jxplugs JXSynth * Kenton Plugstation Pro-2000 Pro-4 * Korg DW-6000 DW-8000 Electribe A Electribe R EX-8000 M1R M1 N264/N364 Trinity Wavestation * Kurzweil K2000 K2500 LXP1 LXP15 LXP5 * Line 6 AX2 212/AxSys 212 Pod * Linplug DaOrgan Gakstoar Delta * Mackie OTTO 1604 * NAM MB33-II Warp 9 * Mark of the Unicorn Midi Mixer 7 * Muon Atom Pro Electron Tau Pro * Native Instruments B4 * Dynamo Pro-5 * Novation BassStation BSR-1 DRK-1 Drumstation Nova/Supernova SuperBassStation * Oberheim OB12 * Peavey CEQ-280 SP Spectrum Analog Filter Spectrum Bass SX-2 * PPD Tritium * PPG Wave 2.2/2.3 Wave 2.V * Propellorhead Rebirth * Quasimidi Polymorph Rave-o-lution Sirius Technox * ReFX Beast JunoX2 TBL * rcg: audio Pentagon 1 z3ta+ * Roland Alpha Juno 1 Alpha Juno 2 D-110 D50 DR-660 GS JD-800 JP-8000 Juno 106 JV-1080 JV-2080 JX-8P MC-303 MC-505 MKS-7 MKS-80 RD-600 S-760 S770 SC-880 SC-88PRO SC88 VS-880 * Sequential Six-Trak Max * Sherman Filterbank 2 * Siel DK-80 EX-80 * Spectrasonics Atmosphere * Steinberg Model-E * STL-VAZ 2010 * Synapse Audio Junglist 3.0 Scorpion * Syntecno TeeBee * TC Electronics Finalizer Mercury-1 * Terratec EW64 Extras * Waldorf A1 Attack D-Pole Microwave Microwave II Pulse Wave X-Pole * Yamaha DX27 CS1x DJX DX100 DX11 DX21 DX7 DX7-2 MU80 ProMix QY-70 Patterns REV500 RM50 SW1000-XG TX7 TX802 TX81Z XG RFX-2000 RhythmTrak 234 This list on the Mackie site here Cheers!
