Rim Posted February 3, 2003 Share Posted February 3, 2003 In "Closer to Fine", there is a higher harmony part after the first verse. The female singer in my band insists that the lead singer would switch to the higher harmony part, meaning that part now becomes the main melody, and the harmony part is the lower part (the original melody) which is sung by the second singer. This seems counter-intuitive. I would think the main singer would stay on the lower melody and the second singer comes in with the higher part.
