Ultravibe Posted January 26, 2003 Share Posted January 26, 2003 Okay, got this G3 that I reinitialized the dirve on and installed the new OS. But I want to take the hard drive from my old machine and install it on this one. Can I just swap the drives from the two G3's? not Cereal Posted January 26, 2003 Share Posted January 26, 2003 it will work. if it happens to NOT work for some bizarre reason, zap the p-ram and then the computer will look for the lowest numbered scsi device with a system folder on it. or, most likely you have an EIDE drive, and it will look for the MASTER IDE drive. if for some reason that doesnt work, boot from the cd and select STARTUP DISK however, the FIRST way will work, just swap the drive.
